  • Condition: Good vintage to antique used condition with a crack in the mother of pearl center medallion which means "Longevity". Slight discoloration on the body of one peacock, which may be intrinsic to the mother of pearl. Some chips and glaze pops and slight irregularities to the red interior lacquer on the lid and in the 9 segments. A few "dings" to the box, which are commensurate with age & use. Still an attractive and functional piece. We think this is at least 80 years old as the lacquer is on real wood and not plastic and that the inlay is finely and artistically done. See photos!
