    Description

    Undated (probably 1890s) advertising sheet music titled Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep written by J.P. Knight. This is No. 3 in the Beecham's Music Portfolio. This four-page sheet music was provided free to all druggists by the U.S. sole agents, B. F. Allen & Co. for Beecham's Pills. This medicine was made by Beechams, St. Helens, Lancastershire, UK.  Measures approximately 5.50" x 7.25" with four pages.
    The back cover is an advertisement Beecham's Pills, "a wonderful medicine - painless - harmless - effectual  are universally admitted to be "Worth a Guinea a Box." For bilious and nervous disorders, such as wind and pain in the stomach, sick headache, giddiness, fullness and swelling after meals, dizziness and drowsiness, cold chills, flushings of heat, loss of appetite, shortness of breath, scurvy, blotches on the skin, disturbed sleep, frightful dreams, and all nervous and trembling sensations, etc. The first dose will give relief in 20 minutes. This is no fiction. Every sufferer is earnestly invited to try one box of these pills, and they will be acknowledged to be a wonderful medicine."
