    The sculpture is of museum quality, excellent, and perfect condition.
    The sculpture by world renown Thanh Le artist is of the Buddha Shakyamuni. The lower sides of the sculpture is well mark clearly with world famous Thanh Le's signatures on both sides of the lower neck. The detail is exquisite, marks are clear, and condition is perfect.
    The piece is signed on the on both lower sides with the clear Thanh Le signatures.

    The offered item was from the private collection of a retired scientist, and his wife, a member in the medical field; both are avid travelers throughout the USA, Asia, S. America, and Europe. Their extensive collection of Asian antiques, especially of Vietnamese origin artifacts were collected/acquired through out the years via various auctions and/or private sales events.
    History
    :
    Thanh Le (1919-2003) - Thanh Le was a very well known artist, and in his later year, a well established businessman. He has been famous for designing, and devising lacquer techniques, and first to blend Vietnamese arts with traditional ceramics, wood lacquer paintings, and sculptures.
    Thanh Le's arts had been exhibited and well received in various exhibitions in France (1952), Thailand (1954), Philippines (1956, and USA (1959). His works are in displayed throughout, worldwide museums, and in private collections.
