An uncommon Faradic battery in the shape of an iron. It was connected to a telephone battery by the cloth covered cord.
The strength was controlled by the lever switch on the end and the 'tone was pressed over the affected area of the body.
If desired, external electrodes could be connected to the binding posts on the front for treatments on smaller parts of the body.The cords and electrodes are missing for this.
