Description
The Harrison Whitehurst Company of Baltimore MD began producing Forrest's Juniper Tar Compound around 1877 and it was used for coughs, nasal congestion and throat irritations due to colds. Used externally for superficial wounds, small cuts and burns. The medicine has not been produced for many years and is considered “medical quackery”. The antique glass bottle back is embossed with “Whitehurst”. The bottom of the bottle is embossed with the number 3 inside of a hexagon and manufactured between 1916 to 1929.
