    Description

This photo is an excellent high quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy new photo reproduction of a 1958 MACK B-73 or B-733 Owned by JOHN VOGEL INC. of ALBANY, NY, Pulling a set of TURNPIKE DOUBLE FRUEHAUF VOLUME VANS.
”SAMPLE” will not appear on the actual photo, it is only on the scanned image.
DESCRIPTION:  JOHN VOGEL INC. was a common carrier based in Albany, NY, serving areas of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  I believe the B-73/733 is carrying a 1958 NY commercial license plate.  Both trailers are Fruehauf Volume Vans.  This tractor is most likely a B-733 with a turbocharged engine for the extra weight of Turnpike Doubles, probably with a 15-speed Triplex or 20-speed Quad.  I imagine this combination ran the New York Thruway. This photo has a white border on all 4-sides.
HISTORY OF THE MACK B-73:  “Built like a Mack Truck” ... what a wonderful statement - one of the best descriptions you can give a piece of equipment designed to stand up to tough conditions.  The Mack B Models were introduced in 1953, and became one of Mack’s most successful models, with over 125,000 of them sold.  It was revolutionary in appearance for its time ... rounded lines of cab and hood. with more engine room for larger engines as they became available.  When I bought this original photo for my collection, it was represented to be a B-73.  Some 2,520 B-73 models were built from 1955 to 1966, along with another 720 B-733 turbocharged models.  Sometimes referred to as the ‘Great Western Group’, the B-73 and B-75 was introduced to replace the classic LTL models.  Built with both standard and lightweight components, with a wide range of Mack and Cummins diesel engines.
CONDITION: This outstanding black & white glossy photo is a newly reproduced photo from a vintage photo in my personal lifetime collection.  This photo has been printed on excellent quality HP PREMIUM PLUS GLOSSY PHOTO PAPER using Original HP 64 Inks, producing a professional quality photo that resists fading over 100 years ... the best money can buy.  This 8x10 photo has a white border around the photo.
